As seen here, Soler has decided to retire from the sport of professional cycling.

While I definitely understand his reasons for doing so, I'm sad to see such a talented rider disappear from the pro ranks. He was a phenomenal climber and could have had an impressive palmares if bad luck and crashes hadn't had such a heavy influence on his career.

I wish him luck on whatever path he finds himself on next. :)

Good God Mark, from that subtitle I thought he'd died! But sad for him that his career was cut so short, regardless. I hope he finds happiness in whatever else he wants to do with his life now!
War. War never changes. The end of the world occurred pretty much as we had predicted: Too many humans, not enough space or resources to go around. The details are trivial and pointless, the reasons, as always, purely human ones.

Was just wondering how good a climber he was while riding for Corti. Then thinking, something about Froome's climbing style is reminiscent of Soler's.
Thankful that Soler has been able to recover as much as he seems to have done.

It would be nice to see Soler continue in the sport as some kind of team manager, team director, pr, whatever....

Yeah, after I'd made the post, I realized that subtitle sounded a bit dark. But I couldn't edit that part!
