To be fair I took some liberties with some of them ... but it's my poll so I felt entitled.

The following comment can be ignored if it turns out that he is the Pope or the Other Shark, but perhaps the greatest oversight ever, where is Peter Sagan on this list??????? Has shag not been following twitter?

Edit to Add: I remember someone starting a stir by saying they were the second best climber in the world, but I don't remember who it was.

You are thinking of Rujano, who claimed to be the third best climber in the world. Despite this rather tasty hook, I omitted him from the poll for obvious reasons. At least it is good everyone agrees that Contador is The Best Climber in the World.

No, no, I agree Sagan will have a substantial lead heading into the final ITT and will be set to win the GC by a record margin, but an overenthusiastic countryman (Daniela Hantuchova), in a fit of Slovak pride, decides to fly in to visit Sagan to show her support ... leading to distractions of Saganian proportions and poor Sagan missing his start time fo the ITT by a good three-and-a-half hours ... thereby dropping him to fifth overall.

Googled some; so the Pope is Menchov and The Second Best Climber in the World is Horner (I'd much rather have Klöden on this list).
But who is the other shark next to Spaghetti Man Mr. Nibbles?
Anyway, after reading Burkni's prognostications had to flush out all the rest.

Curious to see who can decipher that one first, probably the most obscure. Massive prize to the winner.

I voted for Evans to repeat.
Interesting to see that Greipel is getting four ridersto support him in the sprints. That is going to put Sky into a difficult position. Do they try to match the leadout and burn riders or leave Cav to look after his own sprint. I do not think Cav will win too many this year.
Thanks,
Buddy

I don't know how the relationship is between Peter Sagan and Nibali, but @TweeterSagan hates Spaghetti Man Mr. Nibbles because he is a traitor running of to the team in turquoise.
I should really be ashamed of how much of my entertainment depends on @TweeterSagan on a daily basis.

Bradley Wiggins (GBr)
Edvald Boasson Hagen (Nor)
Mark Cavendish (GBr)
Bernhard Eisel (Aut)
Chris Froome (GBr)
Christian Knees (Ger)
Richie Porte (Aus)
Michael Rogers (Aus)
Kanstantsin Siutsou (Blr)
Priority goes to GC with Wiggins. According to Brailsford Eisel and Hagen to support Cavendish in the sprints. Hagen in double role: "Edvald Boasson Hagen will be Cavendish’s key lead out man and also offer support to Wiggins when the race hits the mountains." (teamsky.com)
Mark Cavendish said: "It's a dream to ride for a team that holds so much British interest and has a chance to win the yellow jersey.
“I know the push for the GC podium will make it more difficult for me to repeat the success I've enjoyed the last few years. But I'll compete and - as always - I'll dedicate myself to making it a successful Tour for Team Sky and, let's hope, for Britain.” (teamsky.com)
According to de Jongh, if Cavendish's form declines as the Tour goes on, they might decide to sent him home. (Sporza)
McEwen too thinks that Cavendish is concentrated more on the Olympic race, rather than the Tour. (nieuwsblad.be)

With that Giro in his legs, including the Dolomites, unlike Goss et al. I would not be surprised if it did.
Wonder what he would do to reach the start line in London in top form in that case.

My impression too, and who could blame him? He has 20 stages and a green jersey already, so nothing really new in the Tour for him.
Sky probably places a lot more emphasis on Olympic gold on home soil than a bunch more of Tour stages.

I am liking Sagan more and more. He not only can sprint very very well but has a wonderful sense of humour. How refreshing. I lose Robbie Mac and pick up a Sagan. Could be a good swap even though he isn't an aussie.
I am looking forward to the first week of the tour. Watch those sprinters go.
Thanks,
Buddy
