Clemens, Bonds and LA

With a 12-man jury absolving Roger Clemens of all 6 counts, and Bonds getting off almost scot-free, it makes the decision of the justice dept not to prosecute LA a little brighter, in context.

If these other guys got off, both of them with less than sterling character reputations, trying to convince all 12 jurors of someone like LA, who has accumulated tons of public good will, and whose attornies would bring that in spades to court, well, I can see why despite good evidence, the justice dept. would throw in the prosecutorial towel unless it had a lock-down proof.

Yes, micomico, the Clemens verdict does put a different perspective on LA's case. Bet you're right he wouldn't have gotten convicted.
