So in theory the last chance for anyone to upset Hesjedal.

J-Rod has put in a couple of commendable but fruitless attacks on the Mortirolo. Currently Serge Pauwels is setting tempo on the climb - WTF???

Strange, strange Giro. Is this the much-touted clean cycling?

I think it is: riders having bad days (Uran/Pozzovivo/Henao/Kreuziger), gasping for air, taking on a lot of fluids (never really noticed before)

What an epic stage we have in front of us today!

Going to be in some thin air when they finish today.

As the US coverage begins there is a 14 man group away with team mates for the top four in the break.

De Gendt attacks!

It will be interesting to see what kind of gearing people used for the day with a 22% grade on offer.

So the Giro surprise winner to be De Gent? What is this?

Go De Gendt!! :helmet:
War. War never changes. The end of the world occurred pretty much as we had predicted: Too many humans, not enough space or resources to go around. The details are trivial and pointless, the reasons, as always, purely human ones.

Wondered if this would wake you up! The "old heads" are playing Poker with Hesjedal. Good on De Gendt for trying to take advantage. Surprised Sky didn't send Henao up the road

Yes. They have basically forced Garmin's hand.

Curious what will happen when Vandevelde disappears...stand-off? All out attack?

De Gendt and Nieve away, gap more or less stable.

If TDG can stay away and perform tomorrow, I think this would be the first Belgian GT winner since 1978 Giro

At least Pozzovivo should give it a go.

De Gendt Still needs a couple of minutes before we can start to do that kind of speculation.

And we could have a Giro podium sans Aitalians.

Only a minute really - he can TT really well on a good day. But yeah, it's hardly a done deal. Top 5 to podium is more realistic speculation right now!
