Boonen not doing Tour

While I'm sorry that the Tour will be missing one of cycling's biggest stars, I can understand his decision. What's he got to prove at the Tour anymore? He's too shakey to do the crazy Tour sprints and not fast enough to beat Cav and co, and not as much of a climber as a (good) Hushovd. It's probably for the better.

From the article, and from what I know of Boonen, I'm almost entirely convinced it's his choice. He's been complaining about what a ####ty race the Tour is for years.
