I thought this fine race warranted a thread for itself, not just a mention because Andy Schleck abandoned!
Anyway, with apparently easy wins in the first two stages, Albasini confirms himself as a classy and reliable winning rider.
At 32 years of age, I really feel he needs to start making his presence felt in the classics. His Swansea stage win (and subsequent GC win) in the Tour of Britain made me feel that he should be able to perform in both Flanders and Liege if he can handle the distance.

Have enjoyed watching this race so far. Shame about the queen stage being more or less abandoned due to the snow (but what do you expect trying to finish at a ski station in March?). Feel a bit for those who did try to animate the stage, and now have nothing to show for it other than a mild case of hypothermia.
Albasini has showed fine form - in particular in winning the second stage, and hanging on yesterday. Thought Uran was particularly strong and deserving of the win.
Loving that Eurosport is now free to view on my Sky box!
