Is Andy having real health problems, or is is having motivation problems?

He's probably just protesting against there being too many descents in this year's Tour. And time trials. And flat stages.
War. War never changes. The end of the world occurred pretty much as we had predicted: Too many humans, not enough space or resources to go around. The details are trivial and pointless, the reasons, as always, purely human ones.

And there being weeks that are not the final week.

Not just the Schlecklet; apparently Ivan Basso hasn't finished any race so far this season. Hardly doing his Giro preparation much good. Meanwhile, Nibali has been in the thick of it in most of his races.

I remember Basso being dropped on a bridge in the TdF last season. Maybe he has met the end of the road, or perhaps he has other "intentions" for later in the season?

Strangely enough, Basso was right up there in last year's early season.
Din't see what he could possibly be targetting apart from the Giro, the Mortirolo is basically the only thing he is good at.
