Merry Christmas to you all. It is a warm 30 degrees here already at 10:45 with a max heading towards 38. Summer in Australia.
I am about to go for a Christmas ride. I hope your day is filled with love and laughter.
Thanks,
buddy

Santa brought new cycling shirts, cycling DVDs, a new water bottle ("a cheesy gift from Ricotta Ricco," said the tag), and (gasp!) a new bike
Felt like I was 6 years old again, the last time Santa brought me a bike, lol!
Hope you all are doing well,
Andrea

Buddy, it is a "warm" 30 degrees here as well, but of course that is Fahrenheit here.

Tell us what the new bike is at a minimum or post picks in the "What do you ride" section of the equipment forum.

It's a Cannondale Carbon Synapse 5:

Hope I like it. My husband picked it out as a surprise, which was wonderful of him to do, but I'm a little nervous that it might be something I wouldn't have chosen. Am I being too picky? It should arrive this week.

I gave my girlfriend a Cannondale Six a couple of years ago, all color-coordinated, and she loved/loves it.
But given your heritage, I am surprised that you didn't end up with a nice Bianchi, which is what I ride (seriously, you are better off with his pick!).
Greetings to all from the San Francisco Penninsula, where the weather, and the riding, is just great.

What a thoughtful guy you are -- lucky girl
"But given your heritage, I am surprised that you didn't end up with a nice Bianchi, which is what I ride (seriously, you are better off with his pick!)."
There are a number of Italian brands I would have been happy with! Was also eyeing a Look & would have liked to have tried an Orbea. But beggars can't be choosy, and the Cannondale should be nice. I rode a Cannondale CAAD last year when in Tuscon & really liked it. If the Synapse is too "comfort bike-ish" I might swap it out for a CAAD.

Sounds like paradise

We may be in very different places in our bike riding lives, but my biggest complaint is how difficult it is to find a comfort geometry with quality components. The Synapse offers that. I think as far as comfort geometry goes though it is a little more aggressive (less comfort bike-ish) than most. The combo of quality components and comfort geometry is what makes me love my Lemond. I hope you absolutely love it when you get on it.
