not sure that Fränk didn't stay back for tactical reasons... makes sense in case AS does crack. he's conserving energy.

this is far from over, short stage or no.

They just showed the DS for LT in the team car talking on the radio to FS, giving him encouragement that he will get better and to just stay on Evans' wheel. Yeah, he cracked. At least he didn't think his brake was rubbing when he started hurting lol.

OT: Bonnie Ford reporting that they (whoever "they" are) are considering doing the Tour with national teams??? where does this come from? I guess somebody is trying to scare off all the big sponsors?

Back to the race - TV holding the gap, but the group not doing so well. Are all the teams weak this year? Even when Liqui or BMC try to ride they get nothing.

AS better give the stage to Contador, or I will go back to not liking him.

I hope Contador drops AS, so that Andy has to do his own work to win the race.

Andy is busy telling everyone else to work, while he is doing zero work himself - and they actually seem to listen to him?

lol! i was indignant too, but it seems he just wanted his bottle :P

at least he did a wee bit of work when AC asked nicely. really short, but still...

LOL at Phil and the clowns on CN forum believing Evans had a mechanical. That's BS. He cracked, then after a few seconds after dropping he pulled off and spun his wheel. It was free. If he had popped a spoke then he would have asked for a wheel right then from the neutral or his team car. Once he changed bikes he went backwards to the peloton while AC was still pulling the break away.

I mean, it is OK to crack. You don't have to fake excuses.

Tommy sinking but fighting.

peloton not really that far back... especially with strength in numbers as it should be (rather than yesterday's cluster f***)...

Evans would probably like to kick Contador for being of no use yesterday and then today dragging Schleck clear.

The last time was probably when the entire Festina team attacked Jan Ullrich and Telekom. 1997.

AC gave everything he had yesterday... otherwise he wouldn't have lost minutes.

hmmmmmmmmm... Tommy V close to being swallowed up.
