Well it seems that team Lance is going on the offensive and taking the game up to Novitsky.

Just when things have fallen quiet yet again this will no doubt stir the pot again. It will be intersting to see the outcome of this action.

I really liked this bit where it is claimed leaks from the investigators had "the obvious intent of legitimizing the government's investigation of a national hero, best known for his role in the fight against cancer."

Gosh. I thought he was best known for wearing lyrca and racing a bike.

I guess we wait some more.

Thanks,

Buddy

Nah, Lance is the master of P.R. He wants to downplay his association with "cycling" and play up his "hero" status in the fight against cancer.

This link gives more information on the motive and the extent it is spurious and a PR device. Expect LA's legal team in the future to exhaust all other opportunities.

Note that this motion about investigator leaks was tried on by the lawyer for Victor Conte in the BALCO case. The motion was that due to the leaks Conte could not get a fair trial and the case should be dismissed.

In their investigation of the leaks the FBI uncovered, through a "jilted" defence investigator acting for Conte, that the source of the leaks was the lawyer acting for Conte!
