Have you used it, mapeifan??

One of the teams was using it last year, but I don't remember which one. For ease of use, it seems like it would be a little harder to use than just putting your bike on a more conventional trainer using the normal tire, but a little easier than changing out the wheel to have a trainer tire.

My dream trainer is still one of the ones with motorized resistance so they can be controlled by a computer program. Only motivation and Dollars stand in my way.

Liked the compact design and the idea of not eating up tires but some chatter on another forum (echoed by review posted below) seem to indicate it's noisy.

cheers for that!

off my list as i'm looking for something near silent... sigh.

unfortunately, all the spin bikes that were worth a damn (silent, smooth, etc.) cost a fortune and/or do nothing else (including not being able to measure cadence, speed, distance)... very frustrating!

If you ever find the trainer that is near silent, please let us know. I haven't found anything I can be on and ride and still hear the TV without turning it up to disturb the neighbors level.

Once, I lived in a apartment that had small ouside decks- room enough for two chairs and a table. I lived on the second floor and there was a roof over the deck from the third floor. I had a Vetta wind trainer I knew was too noisy to ride indoors so I used to ride it outside on the deck after work in winter with the TV turned towards the glass sliding doors so I could watch while riding. No sound on the TV just picture- used to look for hockey games. I could ride outside even if it was snowing out.

The neighbors would always look up at me like I was crazy , that and the trainer was pretty noisy so even outside it sounded like a small jet engine!

Actually the set of rollers I have is not particularly quite either. Plus the reason I switched from the rollers to a trainer was I keep riding off the side of the rollers when I tried to watch TV. I'm sure your response to this will be:

Three words: BIKE HANDLING SKILLS. :D
