QUOTE
The scandal of the moment in tennis, meanwhile, involves poor Richard Gasquet, the 23rd-ranked French player who this April allegedly tested positive for … cocaine. Gasquet was shocked, of course. His friends protested his innocence, including Rafael Nadal, who said, "I'm certain that he's not taking anything." Nadal added helpfully, "If you kiss a girl who's taken cocaine, anything can happen, and that's the truth."

Man, I'll add this one to my already long list of creative doping excuses. It reminds me of runner David Plaza's excuse for when he was busted for Nandrolon: he had had oral sex with his pregnant wife the night before the test.
War. War never changes. The end of the world occurred pretty much as we had predicted: Too many humans, not enough space or resources to go around. The details are trivial and pointless, the reasons, as always, purely human ones.

FYI: The International Tennis Federation yesterday ACCEPTED Gasquet's excuse that he tested positive because he kissed a girl at a club.

Now, I don't think in general that recreational drug use (outside of competition; doesn't improve performance) should be punished by the sports federations. But still: what a lame excuse.
Over/under on when the next stage winner/jersey holder uses the ol' "the podium girl was on CERA when she kissed me!" excuse?
