Last we heard, the DPF apologizing crew of Tom Terrific and Ali the Adverse were promising us that because the US media didn't pick up the Arnie story, it was all made up.

Not so fast fellas, there is a new story on the wire:
French national police have summoned Landis and his longtime coach, San Diego physician Arnie Baker, to answer questions in connection with the illicit access of the computer system of the French laboratory that tested Landis' samples from the Tour. Neither attended a May 5 court appearance, according to media reports, and now the head of France's anti-doping agency is calling for international authorities to get involved.
We may not get another look at the French justice system.

Floyd, Arnie, Will... time to Play by the Rules!

Speaking of scary dudes, can someone post the pic of Arnie?

Dave.

Look, it is a terrible thing to say and I hope it doesn't violate a DPF rule, but the dude freaks me out.

I promise to take a tongue-lashing from Ali without putting up a defense for admitting this.

How could db ever promote this guy as 'The Answer'? I ask that because I am still unable to figure out if db was truly motivated by fandom to go to even the extreme lengths that he has, and thus he still deserves the benefit of the doubt.

But, perhaps a more important question.

How on earth did Arnie or Floyd or Will, as crazy as we have seen them, ever get connected to this Kargas guy?

Who referred them to him?

Who could they possibly know that would have connections with this type of dude in France?
as disturbing as it is, it's not surprising, because their whole strategy was using every means possible to escape the consequence of Floyd's doping
Who else would possibly be motivated to take every possible means to escape the consequence of doping in France? Who has the magic rolodex?

C'mon all you conspiracy theorists, give me a guess!

Dave.

Perhaps it is worth reviewing some of Arnie's past statements in view of the facts that are now coming to light, and his missed court appearance in France.

Perhaps this one, which remains a headline act over on TBV:
The evidence shows documents that appear to have been fabricated and documents and testimony that have been shown to be false. A “lie” or “fraud” implies intent. Without direct admission on the part of USADA, LNDD, or its witnesses, the determination of intent is a judgment. It is my belief and judgment, based on a review of the evidence, that there was intent to deceive
If you were the one mounting a campaign directed at deceiving, if your 'review' of the evidence included the willfull attempt to access and manipulate it, and you were the one trying to fabricate documents, then you would know for sure that this intent to deceive was a true statement.

Funny that.

Yeah, I am all for a little trust but verify here. Ok, Arnie, there is a court in France waiting for you. Time to show up. Perhaps I can offer a rewrite for you:
False statements: USADALandis, its expertsWill, and the labArnie appear to have repeatedly made false statements

This thread may get good.

Maybe Dave's sarcastic and witty posts will merit some accusations from vp of bashing the USA since Will, Landis, and Baker are American. And, it is a French court! A perfect storm.....this has fauxnews zombie outrage written all over it.

Hopefully db, Hue, and Tom Fine will come in here and mix with vp's rants while the rest of us pile on. This would be the thread of the year. I pray for moderator leniency, just this one time!

French Fry needs to come in here and give his thoughts. His quip when Landis "settled" about it being the equivalent of dropping out of the TdF while on the last lap of the Champs still cracks me up. FF?

I'm looking forward to posting about things other than Andrea Yeager and RTT's potential ban list. My contribution to this thread for now is to agree that Baker is one ugly mf.

So much material... so little space.

Spelling it out:

Arnie
Will
Floyd
Underhanded
Liars

Or, something like that.

Too many questions. Not enough facts.

1) What vintage euro trash is dq?

2)Why is this topic not in the bustling Landis folder?

3)How many words make up a rant?

4)How does Landis win the TDF using borrowed chamois creme?

2. Dead as Landis' appeal
3. I count 40 in this post of yours
4. Borrowed or used?

“To say the lab is not good, that the lab is sloppy, that the lab makes mistakes ... we're used to hearing that,” said Montreal's Ayotte, who testified on behalf on the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency in Landis' arbitration hearings. “But if this is true, that type of spying, it's something that gets a bit disgusting.”

So everyone, including WADA, knows LNDD are cowboys. However, the real crime isn't that they regularly ruin lives, it's that someone has attempted to expose them. How outrageous !

Still, I think Floyd and Arnie can rest easy on this one. What a dick Pierre Bordry is. Interpol my ass ! There's more chance of getting the tartan army to hunt down Arnie and Floyd laugh.gif

May I give you an other text explanation of Ayotte's words even if that is english?

Ayotte was just referring that athletes caught like Landis often said that the tests weren't well done, that people have made mistakes, and so... That is available for every labs.

I suppose after:

1. Getting his TdF victory stripped
2. Losing 2 years of income
3. Losing a Pro Tour contract
4. Having to spend all his money on lawyers and experts
5. Having to settle for a pro Continental ride and,
6. Not coming remotely close to winning anything since

Floyd probably needed a good laugh. He'll sure show those "yuros".
