Museeuw is looking at jail time for his role in the Landuyt affair. The court brushed aside excuses by Museeuw that he was unaware that what he was doing was illegal. Museeuw received a sentence of 10 months, while Landuyt got a year.
This is a landmark case, in that it sets the precedent in the Belgian courts that trafficking with doping is equivalent to trafficking with other drugs. This is excellent news for the fight against doping (among other things, it will benefit anti-doping cooperation across the Franco-Belgian border).

Actually they were given suspended sentences, so no jail time.

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, wine in the other, totally worn out and screaming "WOO HOO what a ride!"

Yuck... you're right. It does says "suspended jail time" in the Danish version too.
Still, it's an important case, in terms of setting the precedent in the Belgian courts.
