Did anyone see the women's team pursuit at Bejing? It's a new event and there were only four teams, but the bell was sounded a lap early in the final. It was complete confusion. The Ukrainian team had a good lead but the Russians were starting to pull them back. Better now than in the Olympics I guess.

Interview with Victoria Pendleton in the graudian. For those not familiar with it, the BBC sports personality of the year is a bit of a strange award. Voted on by the public (or at least some of them), it isn't clear that it is for the best sporting achievement but rather sporting personality. Which begs the question, how did Nigel Mansell ever win it? This probably counts against lesser known figures in the sporting community like, say, female cyclists.
Inspired by Oncearunner I now provide a running total of overall Australian success in the three grand tours: 0+1+0.

Wel I wasn't asking in seriousness, just joking about her dominance in multiple disciplines.
