Penguin did not even realize there was a race today! Penguin offers his congratulations to Crockett and a belated congrats to Burkni for his back-to-back wins.

Penguin is ahead of VdB - that's all he really cares about...

Penguin congratulates guidemd for being the only one to show up at LBL today - a fine race for her. However, that was one really good party that guidemd missed.

Penguin also congratulates Burkni for finding it within himself to fight off Jimmy's unrelenting attacks. Also congratulations is in order for Ms Crockett for an excellent first showing - podium!! Penguin achieved his primary objective which was to make sure VdB was eating dust from Penguin's wheels...

NBOL adds his congratulations to GuideMD for her win today, and to Burkni for his overall classics victory. NBOL looks at his score and wonders why it is that he rides the classics at all. All the he has gotten out of it is a sore bottom from the cobbles and sore legs from the Ardennes.

NBOL should have realized that GuideMD has something up her sleeve when he noticed that the fruity bear on the pedicab had been replaced with vitamin water.

Burkni thanks for the congratulations and shows no signs of his relieved tension when shaking Jimmy's hand on the podium ... Instead he silently thanks him for not scoring a single point in the Ardennes.

Well done Burkni!!! All hail the new spring classics top dog!

Not that I am still bitter or anything, but I would point out that had the powers that be deigned to renew my contract in time for the spring classics I would have come fifth, just behind my arch-nemesis crockett. And if I had been able to count on the support of a decent team like Toto, rather than needing to scramble for a spot on that crappy Riis squad, surely my results would have been even better.

Now I will retreat to the Canaries and await word on whether my spring showing is considered by management to be good enough to earn a spot in the Toto Giro lineup.

Top dog courteously points out that with seven infringements in one post, shag's case isn't too strong :o

Oh boy, self-assigning a nickname? VdB might need to look into those triple XL helmets for a certain team member.

And he might order a fresh batch of sour grapes for crockett ... or should that be Mr. crockett to distinguish between household members? :P

Is Rake going to have to bang some helmets together or are Team ITT happy to implode prior to coming down the Giro start ramp?

NBOL is trying to figure out what the difference between his imploded performance and his performance during the classics would look like. Any rumors that have circulated that NBOL has his own personal DS who is being sent to the TOC rather than the Giro and NBOL is soft peddling in protest are false. Not only does NBOL not have his own personal DS, but ITT does not send a team to the TOC. NBOL wonders how these rumors get started.

In an effort to stop all the intentional protocol violations that have been happening, NBOL sends this personal request to VdB to get Shag the team code so that he can be ready for the Giro.

Speaking of the Giro, NBOL reviewed the state of the start lists so far. NBOL will be producing his spreadsheet for the Giro, but is waiting until the start lists look a little more filled in to make the first edition of it.

YES PLEASE. I am beginning to worry that this self-imposed abstinence from illeism, though of noble intent, is beginning to diminish my ego. :o

Excellent! Will the list include NBOL's picks so that we know who to, er, um, consider?

Since NBOL has done even less work on his picks than he has on the spreadsheet, No it will not. NBOL will post his picks after he has made them, which should give crockett the require amount of time to make last minute modifications to his picks based on NBOL's past, er, um, "excellent", ya that's the word, track record.

NBOL will not be able to start making his picks until he restocks his supply of Tuscan wines. NBOL made his picks one year wineless, and those picks were really "excellent".

No response from vdb, burkina, or penguin on the code? Crockett thinks that all 3 have had the code in the past.
