If Timmerman means the same in Dutch as in Icelandic and Danish (hangover) you never know!

Burkni won MSR?!! This is rather unexpected for VdB and his plans for ITT (ie using it as a front for tax evasion and beer fraud)! Congrats!! A big raise is coming up for the Icelandic Volcano - such will be your nickname as from this moment. Anyone who can actually pronounce its name may do so too, but I have my doubts about that. ;) Included as a bonus in your raise will of course be a selection of non-fruit(y) beers that fell off VdB's fraudulent trucks came from VdB's private stock!

VdB is not sure why Shag was dropped anymore, but yes it probably was due to him not having a squad ready for the fall classics last year! VdB would offer him a new contract now he is flaunting a decent amount of World Tour points already, but alas this can't be done during the spring classics competition. Shag will have to wait until the Giro to ride for ITT once more.

And 'timmerman' actually means 'carpenter' in Dutch Burkni! (just like German 'Zimmerman') I suppose it might have morphed from German to Danish to Icelandic somehow, since we do use the expression in Dutch that someone with a hangover has a 'houten kop' (ie 'wooden head').
War. War never changes. The end of the world occurred pretty much as we had predicted: Too many humans, not enough space or resources to go around. The details are trivial and pointless, the reasons, as always, purely human ones.

Penguin is getting his IV bottles ready to inject timmerman into VdB's veins and is roughing up the plank for his double violation...

NBOL needs to wake up. He had forgotten that there was a scoring race yesterday, and hadn't looked to see how the team had done. Forgetting there was a race could help explain the zero points that NBOL scored.

Congratulations to Jokkee neither the less.

Penguin wonders if Burkni will put another overall Wielerprono win under his belt considering he has the top 4 finishers on his roster...

The results are in, and while Burkni did get his 3rd ITT win, he was only 11th overall. NBOL sitting at 1844 overall thinks that 11th might be pretty good, He doesn't have the experience to know for sure, but thinks so.

VdB remembers now why NBOL was contracted for this season: to make sure that he isn't last in the team standings and loses his respect as team captain! ;)

The mysterious billionaire owners of team Burkni have called Burkni to ask for explanations for not winning today's race, a la Leopard-Trek.

Penguin may have found the perfect remedy for poor performances and/or protocol violations...

Pink bottle...maple ale...top hat...VdB feels like these are the first signs of the apocalypse!

VdB has acquired a batch of blonde Leffe to put on the last few % on his form for the really important races. He's certain Burkni and Jimmy will be over their peak for the classics season already by Sunday, and that he'll leave them behind on the Paterberg with his gut legs filled with Leffe.

Not just maple ale, but bacon maple ale. NBOL feels even with ITT's love of all things ham related, bacon maple ale is more than a little bit over the top.

Well it won't do to reward protocol infractions with ham and real ale, will it?

Congratulations to newbie Ms. Crockett for taking a convincing sprint victory at RVV and showing Crockett who is wearing the pants in their home!

Now all she needs is a login here and a couple of lessons on how to beat on Penguin for drinking pansy ale.
