4. 100 BOONEN Tom 502
5. 276 VAN KEIRSBULCK Guillaume 227

7. 595 BRESCHEL Matti 98
8. 932 VAN HECKE Preben 50
9. 963 MAASKANT Martijn 47
10. 998 HOSTE Leif 44

12. 3065 VALVERDE BELMONTE Alejandro 0
War. War never changes. The end of the world occurred pretty much as we had predicted: Too many humans, not enough space or resources to go around. The details are trivial and pointless, the reasons, as always, purely human ones.

NBOL just looked at the team rankings, and notes two things. First Welcome to mscrockett. I'm glad she did indeed decide to come along for the ride.

Second since everybody currently has zero points it was nice of WP to put the team in lead out order. NBOL sitting right in front of Penguin at the back of the group.

Alright, after many, many revisions, all of which will no doubt lessen the score, here is Burkni's (current) team:

1. 7 SAGAN Peter 1596
2. 11 CANCELLARA Fabian 1432
3. 48 GERRANS Simon 727
4. 81 THOMAS Geraint 553
5. 92 FREIRE GOMEZ Oscar 522
6. 97 NUYENS Nick 508
7. 100 BOONEN Tom 502
8. 103 HAUSSLER Heinrich 496
9. 193 HOOGERLAND Johnny 303
10. 595 BRESCHEL Matti 98
11. 1136 KROON Karsten 33
12. 3065 VALVERDE BELMONTE Alejandro 0

Burkni tossed Hushovd off for Thomas and Freire as he feels that all classics will have a headwind and be decided by a sprint this year, and Hushovd is more of a guy who really takes things in his own hands, leading over the cobbles and trying to forge splits, as witnessed by last year's races. No? Wait a minute ...

Hmmm... a lot of similarities to Penguin's squad. Penguin is not sure if that is cause for concern for Burkni!! B)

Jimmy has . . . .

11 CANCELLARA Fabian 1432
31 FARRAR Tyler 953
41 HUSHOVD Thor 799
69 BOOM Lars 609
100 BOONEN Tom 502
102 BALLAN Alessandro 497
103 HAUSSLER Heinrich 496
133 FLECHA GIANNONI Juan Antonio 419
135 LANGEVELD Sebastian 417
195 POZZATO Filippo 301
595 BRESCHEL Matti 98
3065 VALVERDE BELMONTE Alejandro 0

and still has 400+ points left to spend. It is a shame leftover points cannot be used for Leffe.
Inspired by Oncearunner I now provide a running total of overall Australian success in the three grand tours: 0+1+0.

Congratulations to Jimmy for taking the leaders jersey after day 1. Should be expected given the hard training he has been doing in the Australian summer. VdB gulps and takes deep breath after calculating cost of sending beer to Australia!

NBOL starts the season, fairly close to where he started the last. In last place.

Congratulations to Jimmy.

NBOL, chin up, tied for 7th sounds better than 10th. Also, didn't you have Vanmarcke last year? That ought to be worth something.

Congratulations to Penguin, who not only won K-B-K, but was the only ITT member to score a point on the day.

Jimmy still holds the coveted Ham Jersey.

Penguin thanks NBOL but wonders if there was another epic ITT party that Penguin wasn't invited to last night as Penguin had a hard time finding any teammates at breakfast this morning!!

While the forum was dark, congratulations needed to go out to Jimmy for his second win of the young classic season, and to mscrockett who tied on points but lost on count back (or points remaining or whatever it is that WP uses to break ties).

Since Cancellara was the third most popular pick in WP for the Spring classics behind only Boonen and the Free Valverde, it is little wonder that NBOL tied for both 3rd and last place with 8 members of ITT.

NBOL is glad to have the forum back. He was beginning to fear he would lose his ability to properly use illeism.

Penguin is happy to have the forum back as well. While it was dark, Penguin tried to contact ITT members to let them know of an alternative trash-talking site he whipped up in about 2 minutes. Some members found it but for those who didn't, here is the link for future reference in case the forum goes dark again: http://iotifototo.blogspot.com/

NBOL feels left out. How does one go about getting authorized to post?

NBOL left some messages on the team page of the WP site, but never saw any responses.

Strange - Penguin didn't see any messages from NBOL on the WP site otherwise he would've responded. He did leave individual messages for everyone though.

Anyone can post on Penguin's blog, but only "contributors" can start topics - Penguin just needs an email address to send an invite to.

NBOL logged on to WP again and now sees Penguin's message on NBOL's profile page. NBOL put his messages on the team page.

NBOL sent Penguin a PM with his email address.
