Sorry for the inconvenience, there's some problem with e-mails at the moment so we hadn't been requiring a validation e-mail for new members, but somehow a setting got changed and the requirement was there again (but you can't reply to a validation e-mail if you don't get one

).

So, anyone who has tried to sign up since October 13 but ended up as "validating" and couldn't post anything, you have now been manually validated and should be able to post.

(and us moderators have to be on our toes again to get rid of the spam postings from non-legitimate members until they fix the e-mail problem, hopefully soon).

Thanks for the explanation. I had been waiting for my confirmation email to no avail so I just decided to try and log in one day and it worked. Now it all makes sense. This is my first post as I have been trying to get up to speed so as to not make the typical newbie mistakes.

Me too...registered and never received the validation email. Thanks for the explanation and for setting me up!! I have been lurking here for quite awhile and thought it was time to start posting....
